Interior Signs: Room Identification

ADA regulations have influenced not only how room signs are designed but where they are mounted. “Permanent” information on a room sign (often room #) must be in raised letters and Braille. Non permanent information (John Smith, Manager) does need to meet ADA standards.. The sign must be mounted on the wall adjacent to the latch side of the door (not on the door itself) at a height to the center of the sign of 60”. There is still a huge variety of designs available that comply with the regulations but are unique in the materials used and the colors and designs incorporated.
